Cassidy Announces $4.9 Million for Generators in Calcasieu, Lincoln Parish

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $4,857,349.75 for emergency preparedness. McNeese State University will receive $3,253,126.50 the purchase and installation of two permanent generators and $180,729.25 for management costs associated with the generators. Lincoln Parish will receive $1,423,494.00 the purchase and installation of 17 generators. “Ensuring Louisiana is prepared for future hurricanes starts with investments like these generators,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help our students and families stay safe when the next storm hits.” ###
