Earlier this month, Connecticut Blood Center (CTBC), one of Connecticut’s primary blood suppliers to over a dozen hospitals, declared an emergency shortage following a 20 percent decline in donations. “ Donating blood is a simple way to make a lifesaving difference in our community,” said Congressman Himes. “I would encourage everyone who is able to visit a local center this holiday season.
