Cotton Introduces Bill to Prevent Gender-Identity as a Factor when Determining Sentence Length
Washington, DC— Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today introduced legislation to ensure criminals are not given a lesser sentence because of their perceived gender identity. The Fair Sentencing Act will prevent judges from using perceived gender-identity as a factor when determining the length of a sentence.
“Criminals are criminals. Radical left judges shouldn’t be able to use ‘gender confusion’ as a reason to assign shorter sentences. My bill will keep Americans safer by ensuring all criminals are properly sentenced,”said Senator Cotton.
