Rep. Ami Bera Announces Support for Taxpayer Data Protection Act

Today, U.S. Representative Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-06) released a statement supporting the Taxpayer Data Protection Act :
“Elon Musk and DOGE have been given unprecedented access to sensitive Treasury data, jeopardizing your personal information and privacy.
“This is unacceptable.
“That’s why I’m supporting the Taxpayer Data Protection Act— to ensure only vetted public servants, not unqualified and unvetted individuals, control the Treasury Department’s most sensitive systems.”
