Budzinski Votes NO on Republican Funding Bill

<p><strong>WASHINGTON, D.C. —&nbsp;</strong>Today,&nbsp;<strong>Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski (IL-13)&nbsp;</strong>released the following statement on her vote against Congressional Republicans&#8217; funding bill.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“My constituents deserve a better deal – one that addresses Republicans’ manufactured healthcare crisis and prevents skyrocketing premiums. This deal failed to deliver those results – and therefore I could not support it.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Soaring premiums in Central and Southern Illinois are forcing families in my district to make impossible choices between affording healthcare and securing their retirement. In the richest country in the world, no one should have to lie awake at night wrestling with these questions.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I urge Speaker Johnson to immediately bring forward legislation that extends the ACA tax credits and upholds the promise of affordable healthcare for all Americans.”</p>
