Washington, D.C.– Today, Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA) shared anew videostatement as he renews his weeks-long push to get TSA workers and other federal agents paid amid a funding lapse for the Department of Homeland Security.
“Everybody agrees that we ought to fund the TSA workers. They don’t ask us are we Democrats or Republicans. They keep us safe every single day,”said Senator Warnock.
“Yet over the several days and weeks, Washington Republicans who control the House, the Senate, and the White House refuse to pass a clean bill that will simply pay the TSA workers.”

Over the past six weeks, Senator Warnock has consistently voted for and supported measures to pay TSA workers. Last week, during his speech on the Senate Floor, Senator Warnock addressed his bipartisanattemptsto make a deal. Over the past year, Senator Warnock has voted for and supported measures to pay federal workers during lapses in federal funding, even breaking with his own party.
