The investigation found that Ohio’s Medicaid program paid out roughly $1 billion in 2024 for “home health services,” often provided by people with no health care training and in many cases by relatives of Medicaid recipients. “Minneapolis was just the tip of the iceberg of waste, fraud, and abuse,” said Davidson. “This investigation confirms what many of us have long suspected - that there is widespread Medicaid fraud nationwide.
