Crow Statement on National Defense Authorization Act

PressView on crow.house.gov

July 22, 2026 Press Release WASHINGTON — Congressman Jason Crow (D-CO), a former paratrooper and Army Ranger who serves on the House Armed Services Committee, released the following statement after voting against the annual National Defense Authorization Act on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives: “I cannot support a bill to give Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth over a trillion dollars as they pursue reckless military adventurism overseas. “Donald Trump’s war with Iran has resulted in the deaths of American servicemembers, billions of taxpayer dollars spent, and America being less safe. The costs of this war of choice are rising every day. “I am a proud veteran and national security Democrat. I will never hesitate to use our military power to defend our nation. But I will not give a blank check, to any President, to fund more endless wars. The American people are done with endless conflict in the Middle East while they struggle to get by at home.” During this year's NDAA markup in the House Armed Services Committee, Crow led provisions to combat corruption at the Pentagon; support Ukraine and NATO; improve accountability and transparency around military operations in Iran and the Caribbean; ensure the protection of civilians in conflict zones; and improve the lives of Colorado servicemembers and support Colorado businesses. ### Issues : National Security
