Benton County—One of the Most Beautiful Places in the District!
June 5, 2026 Blog Post Hello, it’s Congressman Matt Van Epps. I represent Tennessee’s Seventh Congressional District! Over the past several months, I’ve had the privilege of visiting several places in Benton County. Image Since taking office, I have met with Benton County officials and mayors and visited both the Camden Veterans Center and VFW Post 2109. Read about my visits here and here . With the Kentucky Lake and the Tennessee River, Benton County is one of the most beautiful places in the district. Benton draws visitors and residents alike for its outdoor attractions and amazing people. I am also always impressed by the strong sense of community pride that I’ve seen firsthand in Benton, as well as a deep appreciation for the heritage and land that have shaped generations. “On Wednesday, February 18 th, Congressman Matt Van Epps made a visit to the Benton County Veterans Center in Camden, TN. Our facility houses the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2109, Disabled American Veterans CH. 31, and the American Legion Post 102 of Camden. During his visit, Van Epps talked with the members of our three veterans organizations, answering questions about our concerns with veterans issues here in Benton County. One of the main issues addressed was the need for more rural transportation to and from the Veterans Administration hospitals and offices. Other issues were also addressed. Being a veteran himself, this need was not taken lightly by Congressman Van Epps. At no time did he ever seem to be rushing to leave, or worried about his next commitment for the day, like we have had with other officials in the past. I believe he will be an asset for all veterans in Benton County… Congressional District. I look forward to many more visits from Congressman Van Epps in the future.” - Michael White, Adjutant, VFW Post 2109 Please reach out to my office with any questions or concerns at 202-225-2811.
