Plaskett shared the following statement on the roof collapse incident that took place earlier this week in the Dominican Republic: “I was deeply saddened to hear of the tragic roof collapse incident that took place at a popular nightclub in the Dominican Republic a few days ago. More than 180 individuals died and another 150 plus have been hospitalized. This is a devastating time for numerous families across the Dominican Republic and within the Dominican diaspora in the US and the broader Caribbean. “My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who were lost and with those who are now in recovery.
