WASHINGTON—On the Senate Floor, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) spoke in opposition to the Congressional Republican budget resolution, which ignores the Administration’s actions weakening the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and leaving veterans and veteran families to pick up the pieces.
“We have worked so hard… to upgrade the benefits for our veterans, to upgrade the kind of services they have gotten, and for the most part, there have been some major improvements, but the VA is under attack, sadly, by the Trump administration, and in particular, by Elon Musk. We need to stand up for the more than 9 million veterans who rely on the VA for care, including 106,000 veterans in my state,”
said Klobuchar.
