Rep. Fischbach Honored as "Guardian of Small Business" by NFIB
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Representative Michelle Fischbach (MN-07) has been officially recognized as a 2026 Guardian of Small Business by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, for her support of Western Minnesota businesses and Main Streets. NFIB's Guardian of Small Business Award is reserved for lawmakers who vote consistently with small businesses on the issues identified directly by small business owners. Congresswoman Fischbach voted in line with small businesses on 100% of these issues. “Small businesses are the heart of Western Minnesotan communities,” said Rep. Fischbach. “Our Main Streets deserve real support so they can keep growing, creating jobs, and giving back to our towns. I remain committed to making sure our small businesses have what they need to succeed.” "The recipients of the NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award have a proven record of championing America's small and independent business owners," said NFIB President Brad Close. "NFIB Guardians demonstrated strong support on key issues, most notably including their efforts to make the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent. We are proud to present the Guardian of Small Business award to these lawmakers, including Representative Fischbach, who helped create an environment where small business owners can continue to own, operate, and grow their businesses."
