NSF Awards $373,701 to Williston State College

BISMARCK, N.D. – The National Science Foundation (NSF) announced an award of $373,701 to Williston State College through the Advanced Technology Education Program to boost the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) workforce in the Bakken region. With over 19,000 oil-producing wells in the Bakken, the project will help support the STEM workforce needs and the evolving energy and IT industries in the region. Specifically, the project will create a sustainable pipeline of students by expanding outreach, targeting rural communities, and establishing a certification in Electronic & Industrial Controls (E&IC).
