Slotkin Secures Medicare Card Win for Woman in Pontiac

Beth, from Pontiac, became eligible for Medicare on January 1st, 2026. She expected possible delays, given the health care crisis during the government shutdown in 2025, so she applied for her Medicare number as early as possible — early October 2025. The Social Security Administration’s website said there was a technical issue on their end and asked her to make an appointment in-person. Following her appointment, she was told she should hear something back in 30 days. After a 30-day stint, she hadn’t heard anything, so she decided to give our office a call, and we were able to get her card, and she was able to successfully enroll.
