Joyce, Schakowsky Reintroduce Legislation to Commemorate National CRNA Week

<p><strong>WASHINGTON, D.C. –&nbsp;</strong>Today, Congressman Dave&nbsp;Joyce&nbsp;(OH-14) and Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (IL-09) reintroduced a bipartisan resolution recognizing National Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) Week. Since 2000, the last full week of January has been known as “National CRNA Week,” a time to recognize the heroic work of CRNAs and&nbsp;CRNA students. This resolution honors&nbsp;over 75,000 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and nurse anesthesiology residents&nbsp;across the United States for their dedication to patient care.</p>

<p>“As the husband of a nurse, I see firsthand&nbsp;the hard work and long hours&nbsp;healthcare professionals put into their jobs every day. CRNAs are vital&nbsp;to&nbsp;our healthcare&nbsp;system, and they deserve to be recognized,”&nbsp;<strong>said Congressman Joyce, Co-Chair of the Congressional Nursing Caucus.</strong>&nbsp;“The over 3,000 CRNAs in Ohio provide critical care to a variety of patients, and I am proud to honor them with this resolution alongside Congresswoman Schakowsky.”</p>
