Marsha Blackburn
(R-Tenn.) joined a Senate Republican press conference on the importance of keeping men out of women’s sports. At President Trump’s request, Senator Blackburn filed an amendment to the
SAVE America Act
that would prohibit school athletic programs from allowing biological males to participate in programs that are for women or girls. Watch her remarks

“Before Title IX was put in place, we had less than about 300,000 women in high school and college that were competitive in sports. Now, that number is over 3 million.”
“What you have is an opportunity for women to compete, to excel, to get scholarships, to learn how to be a part of the team, and to learn how to lead a team – a very important skill that they develop as they go through high school and college and move into their careers.”
