06.18.26 Cantwell Statement on Trump’s MOU With Iran WASHINGTON, D.C. – An initial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to halt President Donald Trump’s war in Iran has been publicly disclosed. The MOU grants significant concessions to Iran while postponing any commitments from Iran on its nuclear programs. U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) issued the following statement: “The President’s war with Iran was a mistake. The MOU is the price the President must pay to get us out of this unauthorized war before it further damages our economy and costs more lives.
