Reed Statement on Passing of Judge Frank Caprio

PROVIDENCE, RI –U.S. Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) today issued the following statement on the passing of Judge Frank Caprio:
“Frank Caprio uplifted many lives through his extensive career dedicated to service, including nearly four decades with the Providence Municipal Court.
“As an attorney, judge, philanthropist, and beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Judge Caprio prioritized compassion and empathy in all he did – sharing kindness and a listening ear to all who appeared in his courtroom and sparking waves of good deeds through his approach to justice.
“Judge Caprio’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and people across the globe whose days were brightened by watching a clip of ‘Caught in Providence.’ My thoughts are with Judge Caprio’s beloved wife, Joyce, and the entire Caprio family.”
