VIDEO RELEASE: Senator Moody Honors Men and Women Who Served in America’s Armed Forces on Veterans Day

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Senator Ashley Moody is honoring the men and women who served in the United States’ armed forces this Veterans Day. Senator Moody delivered a video address thanking these brave patriots for their service and sacrifice. Florida is the proud home of more than 1.5 million veterans, and Senator Moody continues to work hard to ensure the Sunshine State is the most military-friendly state in the nation. Today, Senator Moody will be in Sarasota to honor Vietnam-era veterans in a pinning ceremony.
Senator Ashley Moodysaid, “This Veterans Day, please join me in thanking the valiant men and women who served in the U.S. armed forces, including the more than 1.5 million that call Florida home. The rights and freedom we enjoy today were secured through the blood, sweat, and sacrifice of these patriots. Through their devoted service, our great American experiment continues.”

When Senator Moody served as Florida’s Attorney General, she formed the Florida Military and Veterans Assistance Program to assist service members and their families who have been affected by scams. From 2019 and January 2025, when Senator Moody left the Attorney General’s office, MVAP recovered more than $3.7 million from over 2,300 complaints for affected military members and their families.
