Senator Banks to Introduce Legislation to Protect Employees Who Dissent from Left-Wing Gender IdeologyThursday, June 12, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C,– Today, Senator Jim Banks (R-Ind.) introduced theRestoring Biological Truth to the Workplace Act. Across the country, including in Indiana, employees have been wrongfully fired, penalized, and discriminated against in the workplace for dissenting from radical gender ideology. This legislation works to restore common sense in the workplace by protecting those who express the truth about biological sex under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Background:
This legislation builds off of President Trump’s Executive OrderDefending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government,which directs the government to protect the “freedom to express the binary nature of sex and the right to single-sex spaces in the workplace.”
In 2018, Indiana music teacher John Kluge was forced to resign from Brownsburg High School after refusing to use students’ preferred pronouns.
