Shaheen Receives Highest Honor from National Guard Association of the United States for Distinguished Service in Support of U.S. National Defense
(Washington, DC) – Today, U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), a senior member of the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee and co-chair of the Senate National Guard Caucus , was presented with the Harry S. Truman Award for Distinguished Service in Support of National Defense from the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) for her work throughout her career in support of U.S. national security. The Harry S. Truman Award for Distinguished Service in Support of National Defense was authorized by the NGAUS Board of Directors in 1968 and is the highest recognition conferred upon an individual by the Association.
