WASHINGTON, D.C.—Senator Ashley Moody is calling on Senate Democrats to pass the bipartisan clean continuing resolution and reopen the government. On Day 23 of the Schumer Shutdown, Senator Moody delivered remarks on the Senate Floor calling on Democrats to act in the interest of all Americans—not just a radical subsection of the Democratic base—to restore funding to core government functions and ensure our troops, law enforcement officers, and other essential federal workers receive their paychecks.

Senator Moody has voted 12 times to reopen the government. Senator Moody also announced at the start of the Schumer Shutdown that she will be donating her taxpayer-funded salary for every day there is a lapse in funding. She will be donating her salary to the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay.
