Congressman Riley M. Moore Secures $1.5 Million for Weston Corridor H Sewer Improvements
October 7, 2026 Press Release Washington, D.C. – Congressman Riley M. Moore secured $1.5 million in Community Project Funding for the City of Weston through his work on the House Appropriations Committee to support sewer improvements and expansion along Corridor H. Congressman Riley M. Moore released the following statement: “I’m proud to have secured $1.5 million for the City of Weston to make these critical sewer improvements and extend service along Corridor H. This investment will unlock the economic development potential of Corridor H to create good-paying jobs across Central West Virginia. I will continue working through the House Appropriations Committee to make sure West Virginia communities have the infrastructure they need to compete, grow, and create jobs.” The funding will help the City of Weston and its Sanitary Board make significant upgrades to its existing sewer system, including improvements to lift stations, while working to extend sewer service to areas along Corridor H between Weston and Buckhannon. The area along Route 33 and Corridor H has significant potential for economic growth and development, but the lack of available sewer infrastructure has limited the ability to attract new businesses and development. Several economic development opportunities have been lost because sewer service was unavailable. As Corridor H continues to open new opportunities for West Virginia communities, reliable utility infrastructure will be critical to ensuring Lewis County is prepared for future residential, commercial and industrial growth. ### Issues : Serving West Virginia
