October 9, 2026 Fetterman Statement in Support of Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 Strike BRADDOCK, PA — In announcing his support for the Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 members who are on strike at Lloyd Industries in Montgomery Township, U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) released the following statement: “Proud to stand with Local 19 and the Union Way of Life. Every worker has a right to be treated with dignity on the job –– these workers are no exception. It’s time for management to come back to the table and hammer out a fair deal that works for everyone.” These union workers have been fighting for fair pay, better benefits, and safer working conditions since the strike began on September 1. After Senator Fetterman’s staff met with the union this week, Local 19 leadership stated, “We want to negotiate. Why won’t Billy Lloyd come to the table?”
