The recent International Atomic Energy Agency report, combined with Iran’s well-established record of ignoring nonproliferation agreements, highlights the urgent need for action. As we move forward, the United States must reaffirm our commitment to support Israel’s right to defend itself, work diplomatically to support nonproliferation efforts, and advocate for enduring peace and stability throughout the region. Iran must understand that, as these efforts continue, any attack on United States forces, citizens, or assets would be a serious error. We stand with Israel in this moment and will continue to be a voice for democracy both in the Middle East and here at home.
