Chairwoman McClain’s Statement on the House Voting to Release the Epstein Files

WASHINGTON— House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain (R-Mich.), the highest-ranking woman in House leadership, released the following statement after voting to release the Jeffrey Epstein files: “Republicans have delivered unprecedented transparency, while Democrats have just played political games with victims to delay the American people’s agenda. With this vote, we’re ending the obstructionism and clearing the floor to once again drive Republicans’ affordability agenda,” Chairwoman McClain said . Republicans have been fully transparent throughout this investigation. Over 65,000 pages of documentation—including more than 20,000 from the Epstein Estate—have been released and made public by the Republicans on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. The Oversight Committee has also : Released the transcript of former U.S. Attorney General William Barr’s deposition Subpoenaed the Justice Department's records Subpoenaed Bill and Hillary Clinton Subpoenaed the Epstein Estate Subpoenaed Ghislaine Maxwell Democrats have been politicizing this investigation instead of focusing on delivering transparency, accountability, and justice for the survivors.
