Whitehouse Statement on Trump Firing of Attorney General Bondi

Providence, RI– U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), a former U.S. Attorney for Rhode Island, today issued the following statement after President Trump fired Attorney General Pam Bondi:
“MAGA Attorney General Pam Bondi cashed in her integrity to keep her job and now leaves with neither.  It’s a lesson for people who fall for Trump.
“Gonzales, Sessions, Barr, and now Bondi — all paid a price for turning the Department of Justice into a partisan weapon.  There’s a lesson in that, too.”
