Hawley Secures Language for Hospital, New Housing at Fort Leonard Wood in Appropriations Bill

Today, U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.)announcedhe secured language in the FY 2026 appropriations bill to protect the hospital at Missouri’s Fort Leonard Wood. The language would also require the Army to work to replace aging homes for the servicemen and women on the base.
GOOD NEWS – I’ve secured language in the appropriations bill to PROTECT the hospital at Fort Leonard Wood AND to force the Army to start replacing houses on post for our servicemen and women and their families. Big win for Missouri
Senator Hawley has long advocated for updated housing at Fort Leonard Wood, having secured more than $100 million in previous efforts. He alsopressuredthe Army to protect Fort Leonard Wood’s hospital earlier this year.
