PHOTOS: Carey Visits Central Ohio Lineworker Training Facility

COLUMBUS, OHIO – Yesterday, U.S. Rep. Mike Carey (R-Ohio-15) traveled to Mt. Gilead, Ohio to tour the Central Ohio Lineworker Training (COLT) facility and meet with its leadership and trainees. This facility is operated by Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives (OEC), a statewide association of non-profit utility providers delivering electricity to over 1 million Ohioans across 77 counties. “It was great to join the OEC for a tour of their facility yesterday and to meet with so many workers who keep electricity flowing to homes, businesses, and schools across Ohio. Thanks to the Republican reconciliation law , hourly lineworkers will see no taxes on overtime pay when they work around the clock to keep the lights on,” Rep. Carey said. “In Congress, I have been proud to champion bipartisan policies that support workforce development facilities like the COLT operation, and I look forward to seeing the trainees out in the field.” Photos from the event can be found below: U.S. Rep.
