McConnell Proud to Confirm Ratcliffe as CIA Director

Washington, D.C.

U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) issued the following statement today following the confirmation of John Ratcliffe as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency:
“Today, I was proud to support the confirmation of John Ratcliffe as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. In the face of growing, coordinated threats to U.S. interests, national security decisions will depend as much as ever on the CIA for timely and accurate foreign intelligence, free from political bias. I am encouraged by Mr. Ratcliffe’s experience and determination to lead CIA professionals in confronting the most significant national security challenges facing America.
“Congress will need to resource their efforts accordingly, and from the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee I look forward to working with Director Ratcliffe in the years ahead to keep America’s enemies at bay and secure our critical interests around the world.”
