SEN. Scott Statement on Israel-hamas Hostage Agreement

WASHINGTON— U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) released the following statement on the hostage agreement between Israel and Hamas:“Forty-four years ago, at the dawn of a new presidency, 52 Americans were released from the clutches of a brutal Iranian regime, setting the tone for a new era of American strength and leadership on the global stage. News of today’s deal brings about that same hope for peace. I’m grateful to God that 33 hostages are set to be freed from the Hamas terrorists they’ve been suffering under since the brutal attacks of October 7, 2023. However, there is still more work to be done. I am committed to keeping up the pressure and working hand-in-hand with the Trump administration to secure the release of every single hostage.”
