Buchanan Applauds IRS List of Eligible “No Tax on Tips” Occupations

68 Jobs, Including Wait Staff, Musicians and Home Maintenance Workers, Included in Guidance WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Vern Buchanan , Vice Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee , released the following statement after the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) published proposed rules outlining a list of 68 jobs that qualify for the “No Tax on Tips” provision within Republicans’ Working Families Tax Cuts. Buchanan was the lead sponsor of the No Tax on Tips Act ( H.R. 482 ) in the U.S. House and was critical in ensuring the policy’s passage into law. “Florida’s economy thrives because of the hardworking men and women across our state working blue-collar jobs, many of whom rely on tipped wages to support their families. I introduced the No Tax on Tips Act to ensure that these essential workers are able to keep more of the money they’ve earned, and I was very pleased to see this policy signed into law by President Trump. Today’s guidance from the IRS showcases the wide range of jobs that will benefit from ‘No Tax on Tips,’ helping millions of Americans make ends meet. As Vice Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee and a former Chairman of the Tax Subcommittee, cutting taxes for working Americans is my top priority.” The IRS released proposed rules outlining a full list of 68 jobs that qualify for the “No Tax on Tips” federal income tax deduction, including jobs across beverage and food service, entertainment and events, hospitality, home services, personal services, personal wellness, recreation, and transportation and delivery. ### Related Posts Buchanan Celebrates Signing of the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” Into Law Buchanan, Donalds Introduce No Tax on Tips Act with Cruz, Daines
