Rep. Yakym Votes to Condemn the LA Riots

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Yakym (IN-02) voted in support of H. Res. 516 – a resolution that condemns the violent riots in Los Angeles, California, and expresses support for law enforcement officers.

“Burning cars, attacking law enforcement, and looting businesses is not peaceful protesting,” Rep. Yakym said. “What we saw during the LA riots is exactly what happens in a Democrat-run sanctuary city. Nearly 200 Democrats voted against condemning this violence and protecting public safety. While Republicans are the party of law and order, Democrats are the party of lawlessness and criminal aliens.”
