Landsman Delivers $1M for Cincinnati Police Cameras

<p><strong>Cincinnati, OH –</strong> <em>Today, Congressman Greg Landsman (D-OH-01) announced that funding for Cincinnati police cameras and mental health resources has been signed into law as part of a federal government funding bill.</em></p>

<p>The Cincinnati Police Department Camera Technology and Mental Health Response Team Project&nbsp;will deliver $1,039,000&nbsp;to support the Cincinnati Police Department and the Emergency Communication Center through the addition of new cameras and upgrades to existing camera technology. The funding will also help to strengthen CPD’s&nbsp;<a href="https://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/ecc/arc/">Alternative Response to Crisis program</a>&nbsp;by expanding mental health and medical response to crisis calls.</p>

<p>Each year, the Community Project Funding&nbsp;process&nbsp;allows members of Congress to accept applications for local projects in need of funding assistance, review those projects, and then submit up to 15 projects to the House Appropriations Committee for possible inclusion in the federal government budget.</p>

<p>The Cincinnati Police Department Camera Technology and Mental Health Response Team Project&nbsp;is one of&nbsp;<a href="https://landsman.house.gov/posts/landsman-includes-12m-for-14-local-projects-in-government-funding-bills">14 local projects</a>, totaling $12 million, that Landsman is fighting to pass in federal government funding bills.</p>
