Sen. Ossoff Continues Supporting Georgia’s Rural Small Businesses

Washington, D.C.— U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is backing a bipartisan bill to support Georgia’s rural small businesses.
Sen. Ossoff is cosponsoring the bipartisanRural Small Business Resilience Act, which would require the Small Business Administration (SBA) to improve disaster assistance access for rural small businesses by tailoring outreach, communication, and marketing efforts to rural communities.
This bipartisan bill was first introduced by Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Tim Sheehy (R-MT).Following Hurricane Helene, businesses across Georgia faced extensive damages that cost Georgia’s economy at least$5.5. billion in agricultural and timber lossesand left many rural small businesses suffering.“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and of rural communities across Georgia,”said Sen. Ossoff.“This bipartisan bill will help ensure rural small business receive the specialized assistance necessary to quickly recover from natural disasters.”Sen. Ossoff continues working to support Georgia small businesses.
Last month, Sens. Ossoff and Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS) introduced the bipartisanSupport Small Business Growth Act of 2025to cut income taxes for qualifying small businesses with up to 15 employees.
