Carey Response to Central Ohio Imam Calling for Violence against Israel Supporters

COLUMBUS, OHIO – Today, U.S. Rep. Mike Carey (R-Ohio-15) issued a statement in response to a recent report showing that Imam Abdel Moneim Dobal of the Noor Islamic Cultural Center in Dublin, Ohio made statements of support for Hamas terrorists in Gaza after they perpetrated the October 7 terrorist attacks, killing more than a thousand people and taking hundreds more hostage. “I wholeheartedly condemn calls for violence against Jews in Israel by supporting Hamas terrorists. Recently, the world has seen people acting on hateful antisemitic rhetoric, with an attack on Jews at a synagogue in Manchester, England last week; two Jews being targeted and murdered in cold blood in Washington, D.C.; and pro-Israel activists being firebombed in Denver. We have also seen anti-Israel mobs form on college campuses across America, and even outside my own home in Central Ohio,” Rep.
