Himes Statement on Revolution Wind Reaching Full Commercial Operation

Bridgeport, CT – Today, Congressman Jim Himes (CT-04) released the following statement: “The completion of Revolution Wind is an important step towards bringing down rising energy costs across the Connecticut. This project will power 350,000 homes and, beginning in 2028, save customers $500 million annually. I’m glad to see this project become fully operational despite repeated attempts by the Trump Administration to shut it down. With the war in Iran driving up energy prices across the country, we should be making it easier to bring new sources of electricity online, not putting obstacles in their way. I am grateful to my colleagues at the federal, state, and local levels for their continued advocacy on this issue.”
