Great to see this bipartisan change in Minnesota—being a young parent should never be a barrier to serving our state. I led the effort in the U.S. Senate to allow newborns on the floor, but this is even more impressive.

Trump knows he's in trouble this November because he's done nothing but drive up costs, attack Iran, and hurt working people. The so-called "SAVE America" Act is nothing but a last-ditch effort to save Trump's ass.

I—along with Senator Blumenthal—am asking the DHS Inspector General whether DHS, the White House, or Kristi Noem have blocked an investigation into the no bid contracts for an advertising campaign featuring Noem.

Democrats have a solution to fund TSA and other critical DHS agencies—which would fix the chaos at airports. But instead of coming to the table, Trump deployed ICE agents to major airports. This solves nothing. youtube.com/shorts/gGyvj...

Women only earn 81¢ for every $1 earned by a man – a gap that's growing each year and is even wider for women of color. As this regime continues its war on women, the fight for equal pay is critically important. People who do the same work should be paid the same – end of story.

Noncitizen voting is extraordinarily rare – in many audits, less than one hundreth of one percent of all votes cast. The SAVE Act is a total sham, cracking down on a problem that isn’t real.

Women in the workplace are still underrepresented and underpaid - and the gap is even wider for women of color. Recently, I helped introduce a Working Women's Bill of Rights because enough is enough. #EqualPayDay

Today, I spoke with Victor Peng, Interim CEO of PsiQuantum, about how the federal government can be a champion for quantum technology. Illinois is leading the charge when it comes to quantum computing, and it’s critical that we continue to invest in R&D to keep the momentum up.

Trump promised lower energy bills. Instead, they skyrocketed. Democrats’ plan to bring them down: 1. Build more clean energy 2. Cut delays — not protections 3. Fix the grid 4. Make data centers pay their fair share 5. Protect consumers www.nytimes.com/2026/03/25/c...

Today marks how far into 2026 that women have to work to be paid what men earned in 2025. #EqualPayDay is a critical time to reflect on the wage gap and to recommit ourselves to working towards equality for all.

Patty is a Colorado legend. She has no limits, and Westword embodies that. We’re wishing her the best in her well-deserved retirement.

If Trump trusts mail-in voting enough to do it himself, why is he trying to stop the American people from voting by mail? The answer is simple: He is freaking out about his approval ratings, so he wants to make it harder for you to vote.

If you make under $184k, you pay a 12.4% Social Security tax rate. Everything after that cap is exempt from the tax. So if you make $1 million per year, you pay about 2.2%. And it's 0.002% for billionaires. If we lifted the cap, Social Security could be funded for decades.

Every American deserves equal pay for equal work. Today – on #EqualPayDay – we’re reminded that women with full-time jobs make only 81 cents for every dollar paid to a man. That’s why I’ve joined my colleagues to reintroduce the Paycheck Fairness Act and end pay discrimination.

Hard work should mean good, fair pay. In Massachusetts, ending the gender pay gap would put more than $15 billion more in people’s pockets and lower poverty by 40%. This Equal Pay Day, we fight for equal pay for equal work.

Today is March 26th, Equal Pay Day. It marks just how far into this year women must work just to make what men made the previous year. Pennies per day add up to life-changing amounts. It's time we pass my Paycheck Fairness Act and help end the wage gap.

Without clearly explaining to Congress and the American people why we’re at war in the first place, the Trump Administration is putting our servicemembers into harm's way and sending more taxpayer money to a war with Iran. It’s simply unacceptable.

President Trump promised to cut energy bills in half within a year. But instead, Granite Staters paid $140 more on their electricity bills in 2025 than the year before. Now his war against Iran is making things worse. Americans cannot afford this President’s economic chaos.

Equal Pay Day is an annual reminder that America's working women still face a troubling pay gap in the workplace. In New Hampshire, women working full-time earn just 81% of what men do. There's no excuse. It's time to make equal pay for equal work a reality.
