Heartbroken to learn of the loss of 4 U.S. service members after a mid-air accident over Iraq. I'm grateful for the diligent work for our search and rescue personnel and hoping for a quick recovery of the remaining two service members. 1/2

The American people deserve to know whether their tax dollars were used to buy the missiles that destroyed a school for girls in Iran that killed more than 100 children.

More freedom for Russia from sanctions; more revenue for Russia to slaughter Ukraine. Whatever Trump/Russia/Epstein is, and whatever Trump/Kushner/Witkoff side deals exist, this is a disgrace. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/12/u...

Our country is stronger because of our diversity. Senator Tuberville’s post is hateful and un-American. We can’t tolerate hate toward Muslim Americans in Vermont or anywhere in our country.

Today, the Senate passed the ROAD to Housing Act, a bipartisan bill to expand the housing supply and make housing more affordable. I was proud to vote for this bill championed by @warren.senate.gov. The House must pass this vital reform without delay.

Trump is spending $1 billion per day in taxpayer dollars on his war in Iran. Here's what people in New Jersey said they'd rather see their money spent on.

My parents bought their first home in their 20s. My dad was a car salesman. My mom was a receptionist. Today, the average first-time homeowner is nearly 40. That’s not progress. And it’s why I fought to pass the bipartisan ROAD to Housing Act.

Americans are working harder & longer & still can't make ends meet. I'm proposing a bill to cut taxes for 130 million workers, paid for by a surtax on income over $1 million a year. It's time our tax code worked for working people & the wealthiest pay their fair share.

There are few people in the world who have derived more benefit from our war with Iran than the Russian dictator, Vladimir Putin. We explain why: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Usv0...

I’m horrified by the attack on Temple Israel in Michigan earlier today, and relieved none of the staff or children there were harmed. Antisemitism has absolutely no place in our society. We must condemn hateful acts like this one unequivocally.

Americans want lower prices, not an unconstitutional war, rising gas prices, and chaos in the markets.

We just put up bills to fund TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard. Senate Republicans blocked it. Enough is enough. Pay these workers and work with us on a top-to-bottom overhaul of ICE.
- TD
In 1991, the average age of a first-time homebuyer was 29. Now, it's 40. Today, the Senate passed the biggest legislative housing package in 30 years to tackle this crisis. It's past time we bring the American dream of buying a home back within reach of the middle class.

Can they explain that position to people in LA, Chicago, Portland, Minneapolis or anywhere else that has experienced such abuse practices? We certainly couldn't.
- AS
Senate Republicans just BLOCKED the bill @padilla.senate.gov and I called up to reopen FEMA today. Then they demanded we vote to give billions more ICE and CBP, without any reforms. None. 🧵
- AK
It’s unacceptable that while so many struggle to afford everyday expenses, those at the top still aren’t paying their fair share. That’s why I helped introduce the Working Americans’ Tax Cut Act to deliver real relief to working families.

You shouldn't have to pay the bill for Trump's illegal tariffs. I'm working to get you a refund to make life more affordable.

The housing bill would have been even more impactful if it included my proposal to redirect $66 billion from Pres. Trump’s planned immigrant detention centers & Minneapolis-style immigration raids towards building more homes for Americans. 2/2

We need to build more housing & create strong, family-friendly neighborhoods where people can afford to live & put down roots. Today, U.S. Senate voted 89-10 to pass a new housing affordability bill that cuts red tape & increases housing opportunities. A good step forward! 1/2

The attack on the Temple Israel synagogue in Michigan is a terrifying reminder of rising antisemitism across the U.S. People should not have to look over their shoulder in fear anywhere — especially their place of worship.
- MB
Democrats offered clean legislation to keep critical agencies funded while negotiations continue, and Republicans turned it down. It's time to pay federal workers that keep us safe and protect our national security.
- MB
Republicans have once again blocked funding for cybersecurity personnel, TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard—demanding a blank check for ICE and DHS with no reforms or accountability.
- AA
My heart is with the Temple Israel community in Michigan. Every person deserves to pray in peace and safety. I’m relieved the children, staff, and congregants are safe. We must stand with our Jewish neighbors and speak out clearly and forcefully against antisemitism and hate.

Monitoring reports of deadly shooting at Old Dominion University, which is reportedly being investigated as a terrorist attack. As law enforcement investigates, I’m thankful for those who sprung into action & courageously stopped the shooter & assisted others.

Democrats are ready to fund TSA. Republicans are blocking it. Democrats are ready to fund CISA. Republicans are blocking it. Democrats are ready to fund FEMA. And Coast Guard. Republicans are blocking it.

Trump launched this reckless war “hoping” to change the regime in Iran, “hoping” Iran would not close the Strait of Hormuz, and “hoping” gas prices would not go up. There was no plan. Hope is not a military strategy. This war is a tragic failure.

Grateful for heroism of Temple Israel security & Michigan law enforcement who kept community members safe from an appalling antisemitic attack today. Good citizens across our nation must stand resolute against rising antisemitism, bigotry, & violence.
- TD
Horrified by the attack on Temple Israel in Michigan. It is unacceptable that another Jewish community is left traumatized by such blatant antisemitism in America. Everyone should be able to pray in their house of worship without fear.
- EW
I am horrified by the violent attack on Temple Israel in Michigan. My heart is with these kids, teachers, and their families — I’m grateful they’re safe. There is no place for antisemitism in America. Everyone has a right to worship in safety. We must stand united against hate.

We might not realize it, but critical minerals are vital to our everyday lives. With China dominating supply of these key resources, I’ve introduced legislation to offer market-forward solutions to expand domestic critical minerals production—bolstering U.S. global competitiveness. Read more ⬇️

The American people deserve answers from Trump on his deadly missile strike that hit an Iranian elementary school and killed children. Hegseth has proven time and time again that he is not fit to lead. Trump must put our country first and fire Hegseth.

I co-sponsored a key provision in this bill that will put an additional $4 billion toward building affordable housing — bringing us one step closer to making homeownership possible for working families across Colorado.

The Senate just passed the largest federal housing package in over a decade with overwhelming bipartisan support. This bill will build more homes, cut red tape, and modernize housing programs across the country.

In January, I joined 100s of Marylanders in Hagerstown who made clear they did not want an ICE detention facility near their community. While Trump’s lawless ICE operation continues to ignore public sentiment, this is an important ruling. The fight continues.

My heart goes out to Temple Israel in Michigan. I’m relieved the congregants and staff and all the kids at the daycare center are safe and unharmed. It’s tragic how many houses of worship have security guards today and that incidents like this show they’re needed.
- PW
At a time when our country is deeply divided, this is not the way a federal agency should be conducting itself. It is long past time for Congress to take action to rein in ICE’s lawlessness. (5/5)
- PW
As a result of the reckless actions of ICE, local and state police were put in an impossibly difficult situation. (4/5)
- PW
To make matters worse, they failed to arrest the person they were initially pursuing and instead arrested at least three individuals who were not named on the warrant. (3/5)
- PW
What happened yesterday in South Burlington was outrageous and avoidable. Rather than notifying local and state law enforcement of a planned arrest, ICE created a crisis that resulted in them using flashbang grenades and tear gas against protestors. (2/5)
- PW
My statement with Senator Sanders and Congresswoman Balint on the ICE raids in South Burlington: President Trump’s domestic army, ICE, came into Vermont yesterday from out of state and, as is virtually always the case, acted in an irresponsible, reckless and unprofessional manner. (1/5)

Deeply disturbed by the attack at Temple Israel in Michigan today. No one in this country should have to fear for their safety while practicing their faith. We must stand with our Jewish neighbors and speak out forcefully against antisemitism and hate.
- RD
Republicans are willing to let you wait for hours at the airport so immigration agents can continue to terrorize American citizens. It is clear what their priorities are.
- JR
The rising antisemitic violence we've seen in our country and around the world is unacceptable, and fighting it begins with each and every one of us confronting antisemitism wherever it rears its ugly head.
- JR
I'm heartbroken to see yet another antisemitic attack today at a Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan. I'm grateful for the local law enforcement officers who quickly responded to the scene and I'm praying for the congregation, Jewish community, and all those affected.

The Senate just passed the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act. I worked with colleagues on several of the bills in this bipartisan package to help boost housing supply and make it easier for families to find an affordable place to live. https://youtu.be/Es1IWoMprbA?si=Owf3Xgxvc8pVj1Mt

My heart is with the Temple Israel congregation as we witness another horrifying attack on the Jewish community. Antisemitic hate must have no place in our country. We must condemn it in the strongest terms.

The USPS has quietly been making changes that will have a big impact for people who mail their tax returns and ballots in this consequential election year. I've got questions about how these changes will hurt vote-by-mail states like Oregon this November.
