Judge Jennifer Mascott was confirmed to serve Delaware on the Third Circuit. We already knew she wasn’t a Delawarean; apparently, she’s also a judge uninterested in her ethical obligations. We deserve better, and I am exploring all options including making a formal complaint to the Third Circuit.

An interesting side-by-side in the news...

This legislation will provide new tools and resources for partners at every level to address this growing outbreak and protect communities on Colorado’s Front Range.

We must work together to keep our forests healthy and mitigate wildfire risk, which is why I introduced the Emergency Mountain Pine Beetle Response and Coordination Act.

Colorado’s warming weather and prolonged drought have created the perfect conditions for the spread of the mountain pine beetle in Ponderosa pine forests across the state. www.bennet.senate.gov/2026/08/06/b...

We cannot stand by as the health of millions of Americans is on the line. EPA must rescind its proposal to roll back drinking water protections.
- AS
Access to safe drinking water is not a partisan issue — at least not for the American people. This administration is hellbent on weakening health protections and exposing millions of Americans to toxic chemicals, like PFAS, in drinking water so that others can profit from it. 🧵

Four people died and a wildfire burned for three weeks. We deserve clear answers and accountability from DoD when it comes to what caused this tragedy.

Today marks 61 years of the Voting Rights Act and our commitment to ensuring everyone has a voice at the ballot box. Instead of celebrating this milestone, President Trump and his allies continue to try to overturn progress and return us to a time of the past.

These wildfires have taken a heartbreaking toll on the Spokane region, but they have also brought out the best in our community. Thank you to every firefighter, first responder, volunteer, and neighbor who has stepped in to help. You are real-life heroes. ❤️

Trump is manipulating casualty records to try and hide the true cost of his illegal war from the American people. I refuse to let him. My Honoring the Sacrifices of Troops in War Act would ban the Pentagon from doing this, restore our heroes' records and protect their benefits.

I spoke to KFF Health News about MediKids and the responsibility we have to provide care to all of our children. Listen to the full conversation here:

It’s time we pass the ROTOR Act and get our air safety in order. This is unacceptable, and I will be looking into this incident further.
- MW
I am extremely dismayed that we are 18 months removed from the Flight 5342 tragedy and once again we have a military aircraft - one carrying the president no less - narrowly missing a commercial aircraft near DCA.
- AK
MediKids is as simple as it sounds – healthcare for every child in America. Here's why I think we should act now.

I was proud to secure more than $27 million to help improve vital economic corridors in Metro Detroit. Having safe, reliable roadways is critical to public safety and supporting the residents and businesses who rely on them each and every day.

Michigan has experienced more severe storms and flooding in recent years that have threatened public safety and damaged property. I was proud to secure $22 million to help Benton Harbor invest in infrastructure upgrades that will protect residents, homes, and businesses.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law continues to support needed upgrades to Michigan roads, bridges, and critical infrastructure. I am pleased to announce $12.5 million in federal funding from that law for roadway safety projects in Ingham County.

This GAO report underscores the need for increased transparency & accountability from the Trump Administration so the American public can better understand DOGE’s activities as the organization guts vital government programs. 4/4
- RB
My PSI report last year showed that DOGE was clearly never about efficiency or saving the American taxpayer money—wasting at least $21.7 billion at the time while the Trump Administration cut health care, nutrition assistance, & emergency services. 3/
- RB
GAO’s report, though, reveals data quality concerns & a lack of clarity regarding how savings were calculated, making DOGE’s findings unreliable & unclear. 2/
- RB
THREAD: The Trump Administration has used DOGE to recklessly slash government programs, ransacking critical services & resources & proudly displaying supposed ‘savings’ on its Wall of Receipts. 1/ www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2...

Today, with deep disappointment, I voted against the 2026 Farm Bill in the Senate Agriculture Committee. I could not support the bill as written, but I remain committed to finding a bipartisan path forward that works for Colorado families, communities, and farmers.

I sat down with @aaronparnas.bsky.social on the Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act. The momentum is on Ukraine's side right now. Anything we can do to get Vladimir Putin to the table, now is the time to do it.

I’m proud to introduce my Jobs, Not Waste Act with @cortezmasto.senate.gov to repeal the law that authorized Yucca Mountain as a nuclear waste storage site and instead consider other uses for it that will create jobs for Nevadans.
- JR
I’m glad to see the Trump Admin’s proposal acknowledging that Yucca Mountain is not an option for nuclear waste storage, and I’m ready to work with them to ensure once and for all that Nevada NEVER becomes the nation’s nuclear dumping ground.

BREAKING: Trump's FCC just opened the floodgates for even worse media consolidation. That could mean billionaires buying more local TV stations to raise prices and control more of what you watch. Another Trump anti-monopoly nightmare.

This administration's 'deport first, ask questions later' policy is heartless, thoughtless, and unAmerican.

Elon Musk & his DOGE boys wouldn't shut up about the billions in "waste" they were finding. Turns out most of that was a lie (shocker). This was never about "waste," it was about undermining Americans’ faith in govt & grabbing big govt contracts for Trump's billionaire buddies.

Gregg is a FORMER forest service ranger who was fired by Trump last year for NO cause. Border Patrol asked him to help alert the community to ongoing fires around our forests. He did. For free. But there won't always be a Gregg. That's why we don't fire rangers for no reason.

Americans lose more than $12 billion a year from overseas scams, and I know I have constituents whose lives have been upended by sophisticated online fraud. At a time when families are already feeling squeezed, they cannot afford to lose their hard-earned savings to fraud.

Ending Temporary Protected Status for Haitians is cruel and wrong. Haiti remains gripped by violence and instability, and the Trump administration is now turning its back on families who have built their lives here and contribute to our communities. We must protect TPS.

The American people want Congress to focus on lowering costs and ending unnecessary wars. Not obsessing over the pandemic and smearing Dr. Fauci—who devoted 50+ years to public service under Presidents of both parties—with unproven conspiracies.

The Trump Administration is using the power of the federal government to intimidate those speaking out against them. They’re stonewalling our attempts to get answers. https://bit.ly/4fIlqyW

Political theater won’t lower health care costs, protect Medicaid, or make us healthier. Instead of learning from the pandemic and preparing for the future, Senate Republicans chose a political stunt targeting Dr. Fauci.

Trump’s latest waste of time and money: $275 BILLION in taxpayer dollars for a “golden fleet” of Navy battleships with his name on them. Not a single penny to lower costs for the American people. Plenty to serve Trump’s egomania and narcissism.

The record of misconduct in this case clearly justifies further inquiry. This is no “Hail Mary.” Pirro is now caught between two fires: the fire of Trump’s incontinent rage, and the fire of judicial proceedings into professional misconduct.
- SW
They alleged ethics violations by Pirro and her office, both in what she said in the press about the case and in the conduct of the case, as “bad faith” and “politically motivated.” That’s a harsh challenge, but well-founded.
- SW
They asked for access to the grand jury transcript, arguing that there was so much prosecutorial misconduct in the case that it justified the opportunity to look for further misconduct by prosecutors in the grand jury.
- SW
They pounced hard, with LOTS of evidence the government had about the “botched” installation BEFORE the charges were brought, rebutting the claim that it was a big surprise to DOJ’s prosecutors. Even that a contractor cut the lining with a knife!
- SW
That dismissal “without prejudice” I’d say was a mistake, as it teed up this motion, to dismiss his charges “with prejudice” so he cannot be charged again. That response was foreseeable, and now the defense lawyers have pounced.
