Dems and Rs came together to tackle rising housing costs and make the American Dream of owning a home more attainable.

A win is a win! The ROAD to Housing Act is law and it happened at midnight! President Trump refused to sign the most significant federal housing bill in 30 years. The deadline passed and it’s now law.

Trump ousted every commissioner at the Election Assistance Commission. I chaired the committee that oversees this agency. It trains election officials and ensures our elections remain safe and secure. Gutting it before the midterms is reckless and dangerous. https://ow.ly/YVCf50ZmAqI

Greenbush is coming together — volunteers, local businesses and leaders, Mayor Etherington — to build Lil’ Chompers Childcare Center, which is set to open next year with federal funding I helped secure. This is what investing in the future of rural Minnesota looks like. https://ow.ly/z0XC50ZmsI6

Skills learned on the job should count in the classroom. Senator Sheehy and I introduced the bipartisan Credit for Prior Learning Act so students can use federal aid to turn that experience into college credit — finishing their degrees faster and saving on tuition. https://ow.ly/AXGb50ZmsAm

At Rainy Lake Medical Center in International Falls, I saw the great work they’re doing to deliver care — and what’s still needed to expand access to quality care across the Northland. Minnesotans should have access to affordable modern health care. https://ow.ly/eC1q50Zmsw5

Saddened to hear of former Star Tribune columnist Doug Grow's passing. He told Minnesota's stories with wit and compassion, giving voice to people from every walk of life. John and I are keeping his family and all those who loved him in our thoughts.

Counting down the days until the State Fair (48 to be exact), and the new foods list just made the wait even harder. Pickle Pie. Hmong corndogs. Apple donut ham grinders. What are you trying first? See you August 27!

Over two weeks ago, Congress passed the ROAD to Housing Act with overwhelming bipartisan support. It will pave the way for more housing, make it easier to build, and help more Americans find a place to call home. It’s been sitting on President Trump’s desk long enough. Sign the bill.

The President says the ceasefire between Iran and the U.S. is over. A war he started and is now continuing with no consultation or authorization from Congress. A war that has skyrocketed costs for American families.

Last night’s Lynx win made Cheryl Reeve the winningest WNBA coach in history. 380 wins, four championships, all in Minnesota! Congratulations, Coach Reeve!

The Lynx have had a terrific season and are tied for the best record in the WNBA. They take on the Connecticut Sun tonight. Nobody plays harder than this team. Minnesota is behind you! Go Lynx! 🏀

Millions of Americans lost their health care coverage this year after Republicans in Congress refused to extend their health care tax credits. Minnesotans deserve leaders who will fight to protect access to health care and make it more affordable. www.pbs.org/newshour/hea...

Nathaniel—who is a great member of our DC staff—and his wife Erica just welcomed their beautiful daughter: Baby Cameron! May she always be this peaceful in the days to come 😉!

My weekend on the Iron Range even kept me smiling through last night’s World Cup game. Thanks to Team USA 🇺🇸 for making it this far. Lots of new fans!

Too many rural Minnesotans are still without reliable broadband. As Governor, I’ll finish the job: connecting every corner of our state to markets, schools, government, and opportunity.

Team USA is back in action tonight against Belgium in the World Cup Round of 16. Let’s keep this run going! 🇺🇸

I am honored to be endorsed by the United Steelworkers District 11. Minnesota iron ore built this country. And I’m cosponsoring the Make More in America Act to help support industries that depend on MN iron ore and steel production and to make things here in Minnesota.

Minnesota farmers don't just feed our state — they power our economy. That's why I co-sponsored the bipartisan American Food Supply Chain Resiliency Act. It creates regional hubs to give small and mid-sized farms business support and new buyers.

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity should be too.

Every Minnesotan deserves a path to a good-paying job. As Governor, I will: 📚 Improve reading and math achievement 🔨 Add 10,000 new apprenticeships 🩺 Expand career pathways in health care, teaching, public safety, and the trades 🎓 Make it easier to earn a credential that leads to a career

That’s why it’s so important that they continue to update their local hospital, clinics and pharmacy. It was great to hear about the work they're doing to provide quality care in northern Minnesota.

Thanks to International Falls Mayor Drake Dill and the team at Rainy Lake Medical Center for the visit and discussion. I-Falls is a wonderful place and it’s also many miles from other medical facilities.

36 years at the Star Tribune is an incredible run! Congratulations to Jim Souhan on a remarkable career covering so many memorable Minnesota sports moments. Wishing you all the best in retirement.

After a day of parades across Minnesota, John and I joined Duluth’s Mayor Reinert at Duluth’s FourthFest on Lake Superior, one of the coolest places in the country to listen to music & DOUBLE watch fireworks (in Duluth and Superior, Wisconsin)!

We loved the fireworks in Duluth tonight! Lake Superior. The iconic Lift Bridge lit in purple and yes, naturally air conditioned. Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸 🎆

This 4th of July, I celebrated America's 250th with communities across Minnesota and reflected on the promise that has brought generations together. Thanks to everyone who welcomed us into your celebrations. Here's to keeping that promise for the next generation.

4th of July Parade number five. Ely! The Iron Range is where my grandpa Mike worked 1,500 feet underground in the mines and saved money in a coffee can so my dad could go to college. That's Minnesota. That's America. Generation after generation working so the next one gets a better shot.

Another great parade for the 4th in Tower! Nothing better than spending the day celebrating with Minnesotans. Thanks, Tower, for the warm welcome and another crowd full of flags, families, and smiles. 🇺🇸

From New Moon Coffee in Baudette, to a new child care center in Greenbush, tourism in Hallock, and a medical center in International Falls, it's been another big day on the road across northwestern Minnesota.

One-size-fits-all doesn't work for rural Minnesota. I have a plan: new markets for rural businesses, more homes, supporting hospitals, better broadband, more child care. You should be able to live, work, and raise your kids anywhere in this state. Learn more: https://www.amyklobuchar.com/rural

The mural in Hallock is as big as the town’s incredible community spirit. It’s painted by a local artist here in Kittson County. Check out the shops, the street dances and yes, Far North Spirits (where they have actual spirits).

Four generations of the Nelson family have farmed the land — with Dorothy Nelson about to turn 101. My rural and agricultural plan is about making sure the next generation has the opportunity to build a future in Greater Minnesota.

Back when he was Moorhead's Police Chief, Dave Ebinger and I worked together to reduce crime. Now as a Clay County Commissioner, he'll be a great partner as we work to give local leaders more tools to expand housing, child care, broadband, and infrastructure.

Senator Rob Kupec is bullish on the future of Greater Minnesota. So are Ben and I. Our plan will expand our rural economy by opening new markets for farmers, creating more opportunities for businesses, and helping families afford housing, health care, and child care.

Steelworkers have built Minnesota and our country. I’ve worked with them on serious economic issues like steel dumping from foreign countries. As Governor, I'll fight for good-paying union jobs.

As the granddaughter of an iron ore miner, I am honored to earn the endorsement of the United Steelworkers District 11, representing 13,000 workers.

From a farm outside of Moorhead, to Hugo's in East Grand Forks, to the electric coop in Halstad, a community picnic in Mahnomen/White Earth, tourism in Red Lake Falls, & Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls…it’s been a jam-packed few days of impressive things happening in NW Minnesota. Need more housing.
