Instead of actually helping students, Trump & his billionaire Secretary of Education are lighting millions of taxpayer dollars on fire with these stunts. How about instead of abolishing the Department of Education, we just make sure kids can read at grade level?

Equal Pay Day is a reminder of the barriers women still face in the work force. We must continue the fight to end the gender pay gap.

This week, I met with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation to learn about the work they do the support those impacted by spinal cord injuries and paralysis. It was a great to learn about how we can work together to advance innovative research and support families and caregivers.

It's long past time Congress demand accountability from these tech giants and pass legislation to protect our kids online.

This week, a jury confirmed what Colorado parents already know — Meta and Alphabet should be held accountable for deliberately designing platforms to addict children and exploit their attention for profit.

Everywhere I go in Colorado, parents tell me that social media is harming their kids' mental health.

Over their lifetimes, women on average will still make hundreds of thousands of dollars less than men for doing the same work— And the gender wage gap has increased for the second straight year. Fair is fair. We need equal pay for equal work.

Congratulations to Vermont-trained Jessie Diggins on finishing her career on top and winning the 2026 World Cup title. She will leave a legacy as both the most decorated American Nordic skier in history and as a fierce advocate for climate action.

While gas prices skyrocket and everything you buy becomes more expensive, Republicans’ top priority is trying to force through an unpopular voter suppression bill. They know they can’t win without it.

American taxpayers shouldn’t be footing the bill for crop insurance companies and large farms to turn a profit on federal crop subsidies. My legislation would save Americans billions of dollars and increase transparency, all while getting help to the farmers who need it most.

I met with students from Senator Ben Cardin's Fellowship Program with the National Conference of Synagogue Youth on the Senate steps. We talked about what it’s like serving in the Senate, my priorities for Maryland, and the importance of standing against antisemitism.

Today, I met with Putnam & Clark County EMS chiefs Jackson and Bramlett to discuss how Congress can champion the work done by ambulance crews. I passed the SIREN Act in 2018 to fund equipment & recruitment for rural EMS agencies. I’m glad these grants are helping first responders answer the call.

Trump is spending billions of YOUR taxpayer dollars on a war of choice with Iran — and it's driving up the costs of everything from gas to groceries. Trump's response to families struggling to afford the high prices? "It didn't matter to me." Despicable.

Great to see this bipartisan change in Minnesota—being a young parent should never be a barrier to serving our state. I led the effort in the U.S. Senate to allow newborns on the floor, but this is even more impressive.

Trump knows he's in trouble this November because he's done nothing but drive up costs, attack Iran, and hurt working people. The so-called "SAVE America" Act is nothing but a last-ditch effort to save Trump's ass.

According to reporting, Noem is "retaliating" against this probe because she and Corey Lewandowski "could be implicated." The American people deserve answers.

I—along with Senator Blumenthal—am asking the DHS Inspector General whether DHS, the White House, or Kristi Noem have blocked an investigation into the no bid contracts for an advertising campaign featuring Noem.

Democrats have a solution to fund TSA and other critical DHS agencies—which would fix the chaos at airports. But instead of coming to the table, Trump deployed ICE agents to major airports. This solves nothing. youtube.com/shorts/gGyvj...

Women only earn 81¢ for every $1 earned by a man – a gap that's growing each year and is even wider for women of color. As this regime continues its war on women, the fight for equal pay is critically important. People who do the same work should be paid the same – end of story.

Noncitizen voting is extraordinarily rare – in many audits, less than one hundreth of one percent of all votes cast. The SAVE Act is a total sham, cracking down on a problem that isn’t real.

Women in the workplace are still underrepresented and underpaid - and the gap is even wider for women of color. Recently, I helped introduce a Working Women's Bill of Rights because enough is enough. #EqualPayDay

Today, I spoke with Victor Peng, Interim CEO of PsiQuantum, about how the federal government can be a champion for quantum technology. Illinois is leading the charge when it comes to quantum computing, and it’s critical that we continue to invest in R&D to keep the momentum up.

Trump promised lower energy bills. Instead, they skyrocketed. Democrats’ plan to bring them down: 1. Build more clean energy 2. Cut delays — not protections 3. Fix the grid 4. Make data centers pay their fair share 5. Protect consumers www.nytimes.com/2026/03/25/c...

Today marks how far into 2026 that women have to work to be paid what men earned in 2025. #EqualPayDay is a critical time to reflect on the wage gap and to recommit ourselves to working towards equality for all.

If Trump trusts mail-in voting enough to do it himself, why is he trying to stop the American people from voting by mail? The answer is simple: He is freaking out about his approval ratings, so he wants to make it harder for you to vote.

If you make under $184k, you pay a 12.4% Social Security tax rate. Everything after that cap is exempt from the tax. So if you make $1 million per year, you pay about 2.2%. And it's 0.002% for billionaires. If we lifted the cap, Social Security could be funded for decades.

New farmers face big challenges when trying to start and grow their businesses, like land access, consolidation and high input prices. This back and forth about whether or not prospective farmers get help makes that even harder.
- TS
The average age of a producer in the United States is 58. If we want our country’s agriculture production to continue to work, we have to support new and emerging farmers. Otherwise, big corporate Ag entities are happy to continue gobbling up small and independent farms as more farmers retire.

Lots of farmers in red states just got screwed, but will any of their Senators say anything?

Every American deserves equal pay for equal work. Today – on #EqualPayDay – we’re reminded that women with full-time jobs make only 81 cents for every dollar paid to a man. That’s why I’ve joined my colleagues to reintroduce the Paycheck Fairness Act and end pay discrimination.

Republicans have now blocked Democrats from funding TSA for the 11th time.

Hard work should mean good, fair pay. In Massachusetts, ending the gender pay gap would put more than $15 billion more in people’s pockets and lower poverty by 40%. This Equal Pay Day, we fight for equal pay for equal work.

Today is March 26th, Equal Pay Day. It marks just how far into this year women must work just to make what men made the previous year. Pennies per day add up to life-changing amounts. It's time we pass my Paycheck Fairness Act and help end the wage gap.

I am proud of our bipartisan coalition, and I thank Senators Young, Schiff and Curtis for working with me to move this important bill forward.

Pleased to see that the House Health Subcommittee is holding a hearing on my Prohibiting Tianeptine & Other Dangerous Products Act, which would protect consumers from dangerous ingredients in supplements. As the House considers this legislation, I urge my colleagues in the Senate to do the same.
