Hoeven on Government Funding

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven issued the following statement after Senate Democrats voted against a short-term, clean continuing resolution (CR) to keep the government funded through November 21.
“This is a clean short-term CR that will prevent a government shutdown and keep government funded at current levels through November 21. We have three of the appropriations bills ready to go to conference and this CR will provide time to do that and help get us back to regular order,” said Hoeven. “The House has already approved this legislation and the President supports it. Senate Democrats should join with us on this short-term CR so we can keep government open and continue working on the appropriations bills.”
