Luján Statement Commemorating Memorial Day

Albuquerque, N.M. – U.S. Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) released the following statement in commemoration of Memorial Day: “For generations, New Mexicans have carried a proud tradition of service in our Armed Forces, answering the call of duty when our country needs them most. This Memorial Day, I’m proud to join New Mexicans and Americans in honoring the courageous heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our freedom. “Today, we remember those who have left a lasting imprint on New Mexico and the nation. We must never take for granted the sacrifice they made for our freedom, and we must continue working to ensure our veterans, service members, and their families receive the support and care they deserve.”
