Rep. Jim Costa: Lance Cpl. Marcelino Gamino was a Proud Son and Hero of Fresno

April 19, 2025 Press Release FRESNO, Calif. – Congressman Jim Costa (CA-21) released the following statement after the death of a Marine from Fresno who was identified as one of the victims in a fatal crash during a convoy in New Mexico . “We mourn the tragic loss of Lance Corporal Marcelino M. Gamino, a proud son of Fresno who gave his life in service to our nation. At just 28, he served with honor in the 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division. Our hearts are with his family, friends, and fellow Marines as they grieve this profound loss.
