McConnell on the Passage of the Laken Riley Act

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY), a cosponsor of the Laken Riley Act, issued the following statement today regarding Senate passage of the bill:

Finally, after four years of failure to address the historic crisis at our nation’s doorstep, the overwhelming bipartisan pressure to act on the border made an impact on Washington Democrats. Senator Britt and Senator Budd’s Laken Riley Act is commonsense, bipartisan legislation that will start putting the tools that keep our communities safe back into the hands of law enforcement.
