Davids (D-KS-03) Responds to New NTSB Recommendations on AA5342 Mid-Air Collision

March 11, 2025 Press Release Today, Representative Sharice Davids (D-KS-03) released the following statement on the NTSB's preliminary report , which included new recommendations following the recent air collision between PAT 25 and Flight 5342, which originated in Wichita, Kansas. “I commend the NTSB and its dedicated team for their ongoing investigation into this devastating collision, which involved a flight taking off from Kansas. While this is an important step, there is still more to uncover, and it’s critical that the NTSB has every resource needed to continue its investigation moving forward. In the immediate term, the FAA must act to implement the NTSB’s initial recommendations to prevent future disasters. As more details emerge, my colleagues on the U.S. House Aviation Subcommittee and I will continue working to ensure the highest safety standards are upheld.
