Rep. Boebert Applauds $8 Billion Harvest Fuel Relief Program to Support Colorado Farmers and Families

October 22, 2026 Press Release Lone Tree, CO — U.S. Representative Lauren Boebert (R-CO) today welcomed the Trump Administration’s announcement of the $8 billion Harvest Fuel Relief (HFR) Program, which will deliver one-time payments to American farmers facing higher input costs and temporary market disruptions during this harvest season. “The Trump administration and Secretary Rollins are putting Farmers First with real, targeted relief when our producers need it most. Colorado’s Fourth District has some of the most productive farms and ranches in the state. This support will help our wheat, corn, sorghum, millet, forage, and other crop growers manage soaring diesel costs during harvest so they can keep feeding America and keep their operations strong,” said Rep. Boebert . The Harvest Fuel Relief Program, authorized under the Commodity Credit Corporation Charter Act and administered by the Farm Service Agency, provides proportional support based on planted acres, production cost estimates, yields, and prices. Commodity-specific payment rates for Title I crops are expected in November. The program builds on earlier 2026 assistance, including the Farmer Bridge Assistance program. Colorado’s Fourth District is home to thousands of family farms spanning millions of acres, with major production of wheat, corn, sorghum, proso millet and forage crops, alongside a strong livestock sector. Elevated diesel prices this fall have increased costs for equipment, irrigation, and transportation across the Eastern Plains and rural communities.  This announcement complements other recent steps Rep. Boebert has supported to lower fuel costs for Colorado producers and families, including expanded access to tax-exempt red-dyed diesel. “Our farmers and ranchers in the 4th District work hard every day to feed this country.
