Rep. Frankel Introduces Bipartisan Resolution Marking Three Years Since October 7 Terrorist Attacks on Israel West Palm Beach, FL — Today, to mark three years since the October 7 terrorist attacks on Israel, Rep. Lois Frankel (D-FL-22) joined colleagues in introducing a bipartisan resolution condemning Hamas’s horrific atrocities, honoring the victims and hostages, and calling for the complete disarmament of Hamas and an end to ongoing conflict in Gaza. On October 7, 2023, Hamas and its accomplices stormed Israel, brutally murdering more than 1,200 people, committing horrific acts of sexual violence, and abducting 251 hostages, including Americans and citizens of more than 40 countries. The resolution honors those murdered, the hostages, and their families; welcomes the return of the hostages; reaffirms Israel’s right to self-defense and long-term security; and supports a durable cease-fire and full implementation of the framework to end the war—including Hamas’s disarmament, increased humanitarian assistance and reconstruction for Gazans, and future governance in Gaza without Hamas. It also condemns the rise in antisemitism in the United States and around the world. “Three years later, the horror of October 7 remains seared into our hearts,” said Rep. Frankel. “We remember those who were murdered, honor the survivors and hostages and their families, and stand firmly against antisemitism and terrorism. Now we must build a future where Hamas is disarmed, Israel is safe and secure, and Palestinians and Israelis can live in peace and dignity.” The bipartisan resolution is led by Reps. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ-05), Lois Frankel (D-FL-22), Joe Wilson (R-SC-02), and Young Kim (R-CA-40). For the full text of the resolution, click here .
