Landsman Statement After Bill Passes Cutting Healthcare and Food Assistance for Millions

<p><strong><em>Cincinnati, OH</em></strong><em> </em><em>– Today, Congressman Greg Landsman (D-OH-01) released the following statement after Congress passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act:</em></p>

<p>This is a terrible bill that will hurt millions, including tens of thousands of folks in Southwest Ohio.</p>

<p>17 million people will lose their healthcare, all to pay for tax giveaways for the super wealthy.</p>

<p>There is a reason this is a deeply unpopular bill – it’s going to hurt millions of people.</p>

<p>We need a Congress that will fix this and provide real tax relief to the folks that need it – without adding to the deficit or cutting healthcare or food assistance – which you can do if you adjust tax rates for the super wealthy.</p>

<p>We’re going to have to fix this. It’s bad.</p>
